Your personal data and privacy are extremely important to The Retail Factory. This policy aims to inform you about how we use data and to comply legally with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) legislation.
Which data is processed
We process data entered by customers in the contact form: name, email, subject and message. We also process information about who visits the website and from which domain they were referred. For this we use a third-party application. Please refer to the Google section.

Webflow
For our hosting and contact forms, we work with Webflow. A limited amount of data is processed by software in compliance with GDPR legislation, such as your company name and contact form submissions.
Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a tag management system for managing JavaScript and HTML tags used for tracking and analysis on websites. Tags are small code elements used, among other things, to measure traffic and visitor behaviour: to understand the effect of online advertising and social channels; to set up remarketing and audience targeting; and to test and optimise websites. GTM makes it easier for us to integrate and manage our tags. We use GTM on our website to include Google Analytics tracking. For all information regarding data processing by Google, you can visit:
Cookie policy
To improve your experience on the website, we keep track of which language you prefer. This is permanently stored in the browser's local storage under the name 'gatsby-intl-language' with the value 'nl', 'fr' or 'en'. If you wish to delete this data, you can do so by deleting cookies. The local storage will be removed as well. We also keep track for one year whether you agree to cookies on our website in the form of a traditional cookie 'theretailfactory-cookie-consent' with the value 'true' if you have agreed. We use the following third-party cookies:
- _ga: Expiry: 2 years. To distinguish users.
- _gid: Expiry: 24 hours. To distinguish users.
- _fbp: Expiry: 3 months. Facebook marketing.
Your rights
Right of access
If you wish to access your data, you can request this by emailing info@theretailfactory.be. We will process your request within one month and share an overview of the collected data and how it is used.
Right to rectification
You have the right to have your data amended or corrected.
Right to restriction of or objection to data processing
When you have submitted a request for erasure, we are verifying the accuracy of the data, the data has been unlawfully processed, or the data is needed for a legal claim, you can request a restriction of processing. Direct this request to info@theretailfactory.be and we will restrict processing within one month. Do you not want us to process your data? Then object via info@theretailfactory.be and we will stop processing your data as soon as possible (within 3 months of the request). Exceptions are again data that we must retain on the basis of a legal obligation (e.g. accounting) or on the basis of an agreement.
Right to data portability
You have the right to obtain the data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. This allows you to transfer the data to another data controller.
Right to withdraw consent
Your consent can be withdrawn at any time. Of course, this only affects data we obtained solely on the basis of your consent. Data we obtain or must retain on the basis of a legal obligation (e.g. accounting) or on the basis of an agreement is excluded.
